Stenciling and Sandblasting

Using stencils with decorative concrete materials is a great way to enhance your designs and create one of a kind projects with decorative concrete.

Stencils, also know as modellos, made popular by Modello Designs, are decorative masking patterns that are custom-sized and cut from different types of adhesive materials. Once the pattern is masked off with your stencils, decorative stains, dyes, micro-top material, or sand blasting techniques are used on the exposed area. The masking is then removed creating a contrast between the original surface and the color enhanced or textured area that was left exposed.

These techniques can be used to create defining borders, inlaid logos, elegant entrance ways, or intricate tile or stone designs.
